Family Constellation Transformational Weekend

family_constellation_2~ Healing broken spirits through relationship insights ~

Peter Devries is returning to St. Maarten for a Family Constellation weekend workshop March 14-15. Peter is a facilitator that leads healing workshops throughout the U.S., Europe and the Caribbean. This unique experience brings individuals together in an emotionally safe environment to explore the unconscious sources of sorrow and destructive behaviours. This Saturday-Sunday Workshop is being offered to individuals, couples and therapists.

Developed by Bert Hellinger (www.hellinger.com), who studied and treated families for more than 50 years, Family Constellation work explores family patterns that affect our everyday life, work and relationships. It is a powerful tool in treating complex and often tragic relationship systems in individuals and families.

A Family Constellation is a three-dimensional group process that has the power to shift generations of suffering and unhappiness. Hellinger observed that many of us unconsciously “take on” destructive familial patterns of anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, aloneness, alcoholism and even illness as a way of “belonging” in our families. Bonded by a deep love, a child will often sacrifice his own best interests in a vain attempt to ease the suffering of a parent or other family member. Family Constellations allow us to break these patterns so that we can live healthier, happier, more fulfilled lives. In a moment of insight, a new life course can be set in motion. The results can be life-changing.

Family Constellation work breaks new ground in the field of personal healing, changing our perceptions of how and to whom we belong, and the possible origins of our disruptive life patterns. It sheds new light on problems such as divorce, relationships, depression, low self-esteem and other emotional states. It also addresses much broader issues such as race, history and the influence that our ancestors play in our lives today.

If you have issues that you need to work through or would like to come in support of those with issues, this is a wonderful opportunity to gain insight, grow in spirituality, and be a part of the resolution of deep trauma. Those suffering are able to confront and visualize their pain, gain perspective and understanding.

Devries has held similar weekend workshops on St. Maarten many times. In an earlier Family Constellation workshop, those in attendance shared the following thoughts:

“I can’t explain what happened to me; I didn’t expect it. There seemed to be the promise of healing...in time.”

“It was a sacred and healing time.”

“It’s amazing how good people can be to each other.”

This workshop is for individuals and couples who wish to explore deeply felt issues about life and family. The method is profoundly healing in its spirituality and simplicity. The workshop also affords therapists and other health professionals a unique perspective for insight into the dynamics that impede the lives of those with whom they work. The workshop’s location is not yet decided, but the sessions will go from 9:30am to 6:00pm on both Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15. A lunch will be shared.

You can set up a Constellation with Peter for the weekend workshop for a tuition cost of $297. However, if you sign up and pay in full by March 10, you can receive this powerful workshop for only $247. Alternatively, for a tuition payment of $197, you can participate as an observer or representative, meaning you will not set up your own family but will have the honour of participating as a representative in the Constellation set-up of others. This in itself is a powerful healing experience. However, if you sign up and pay in full by March 10, you can receive this powerful workshop for only $147.
