Regional Domino Competition
St. Maarten wins second place in the finals!
On Friday Sept 25, a delegation of St. Maarten left to St. Vincent & The Grenadines to compete in the White Oak Regional Domino Competition Finals.
Competing islands were: Antigua & Barbuda; Dominica; Grenada; St. Kitts & Nevis; St. Maarten/St. Martin and the host country and defending champions St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
The grand prize was a total of EC $10,000! The event offered competitors and visitors an array of drink specials and a swinging after-party. The format, which is pairs and rules that have been used in-market, remained the same. The final round was a six-team round robin playoff, with every team playing each other. The team with the most hands/highest points accumulated was named the overall champion. Dominica took home the first place, St. Maarten second place and St.Vincent & The Grenadines third place.
Antillean Liquors NV, local distributor for the House of Angostura, organized the White Oak Rum Domino Finals.
